Happy Mother's Day

Where would we be without Mother's?? Hmmm...Well, one things for sure we wouldn't be here! But Mother's are more than just a passage to this world. They truly are the reason for everything!! And because of my Mother and all the other Mother's, it gets me so excited to be a mother myself someday! Well Mom we Love you very much!! Words can not express our gratitude for everything you have given us! We are truly indebt to you! But know how much we love you!! Happy Mother's Day & Happy Mother's Day to all of you!! (I know there are alot of people that may read this that are Mothers or soon to be Mothers as well!!)

Here is a cute poem I found that I would like to dedicate to
Both of our Mothers

"Happy Mother's Day" means more
Than have a happy day.
Within those words lie lots of things
We never get to say.

It means I love you first of all,
Then thanks for all you do.
It means you mean a lot to me,
And that I honor you.

But most of all, I guess it means
That I am thinking of
Your happiness on this, your day,
With pleasure and with love.

Congrats Angie & Dave...

Mike's sister Angie got married last Friday!! She married a guy that I think will fit right into the family :) The only drawback is he is like 10 ft tall (really 6 ft 7 inches...the picture does not give him justice) so now I really am the Shorty of the family!! Anyways, they were married in the Logan temple and the Sealer gave them some WONDERFUL advice (I always Love going to temple weddings because I don't remember AT ALL what was said during our sealing so I just take their advice as if it was given to me) and now they are honeymooning in San Diego. Here are some random pics of that eventful day!! Again Congratulations!!!

The Wedding Cake...ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

May you remember this day for the rest of your life!! Good Luck will all the challenges and wonderful blessings that await for you!! Remember Lots of Compromises...Communication...And Hugs & Kisses!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AMBER!!

I just wanted to wish my little sis', Amber, a Happy Birthday!!! Wow, I can't believe that she is finally 22 - considering she got married when she was a youngin (18) - haha! Well, I would like to do my sisterly duty and tell you some embarrassing facts about her on her special day. Well, first off did you know anyone that could fart and burp at the same time?? Well, now you do because Amber mastered that trait years ago :) I can still see the look on her face when she realized what had happened...it was probably one of the funniest moments of my life:) And no one can tease Amber more than she can tease herself :) It's true!! You could tease Amber with something then she would take it and run with it and continue teasing herself until you reminded her that she was talking about herself. It's actually quite funny!!

Ok, with all jokes aside Amber has really become one of my Best Friends!! We talk all the time and I have to make sure I don't tell her everything before I tell my mom :) She has become such a wonderful Mother to Paige and a Great Wife. I'm so lucky to have her as my sister because that way I know we will be friends for life :)

Happy Birthday Amber!!!

Angie's Special Day...

Last Saturday we got to go to the Logan Temple w/ Mike's sister Angie as she took out her endowments. It was really neat to watch her and her soon to be husband experience that together and it definately brought back alot of memories. I am really glad we got to experience that with her. It was also good to be back at the temple again. Mike and I talk about going quite frequently but somehow we allow something to get in our way of going and so we have not made it there as often as I would like, but being there with him reminded me of how much I love seeing him in all white (is that something a girl says?). I don't know how to describe it but our Love always feels stronger when we are there and I am so glad that we can go there together and beleive me we are going to start doing alot better :)

Angie, I hope you and Dave will go back often. It is truly a blessing and i know that it will make your marriage stronger!

Anniversary Fun Continued...

So I thought the stay at the Anniversary Inn would be our anniversary gift, but Mike kept the fun going on Monday. He got me 3 red roses to represent 3 years and got me the camera I've had my eye on for a few weeks now (it has a really cool setting where the camera will automaticaly take the picture once the person/s smiles, I thought that would be great to have for kids). Then, I decided it was time for Mike to get his Xbox 360 (I have been postponing this day for quite some time now), but anyways I found a a great deal on KSL from someone that was selling theirs and we got the Xbox, Guitar Hero with 2 guitars, 5 other games (including Call of Duty 4 & Halo) and 3 wireless remote controls all for $400. For you all that don't know that is an AWESOME deal and it was all only 4 months old and everything still looks Brand New. So anyways, we stayed up late last night playing and I am sure it is just the beginning but I'm glad that I got it for him! Now hopefully we'll still manage to get some sleep :)

3 Years & Going Strong...

Yes, today is our 3 year anniversary. I can't believe it has already been 3 years!! I was always told that the 1st years of your marriage are always the hardest & so I am proud to say that I really don't think they have been that hard. I guess Mike has made it easy to be married to him :) Over the weekend I attended two Bridal Showers, one for Mike's sister Angie & another for his cousin Marty Jo. At each of those showers we did an advice book for them on marriage and the advice I gave was to never forget the reason you fell in love in the first place. That made me think of the reasons I fell in love with Mike and this is what I came up with:

I fell in LOVE with (these are just a few of the things)
  • The way our bodies fit perfectly when we hug & snuggle
  • The way he always held my hand & kissed me
  • The way he would surprise me in the middle of the week with a quick visit (we lived 2 hours apart so we only saw each other on the weekends)
  • That he was always a gentlemen & always open the door for me...All doors
  • The way he treated his parents (he is soo good to his mother)
  • That he bought me nice shoes, so I wouldn't buy any at Payless
  • That he made me work for everything I got (he was a tease when it came to our first kiss & the I Love You's)
  • That he got along so well with my family (he fit right in from the very start)
  • The way I never had to question his feelings for me - he was always so genuine
  • His deep cute Laugh
  • His Smile
  • The way he never intentionally made me cry

Now that we are married the list continues to grow so here a few more things I have grown to LOVE:

  • He always says I Love You & snuggles with me before we go to sleep
  • He gets his feelings hurt if I'm not sitting on the same couch as him when we watch TV
  • That he rents me a "Chick Flick" whenever he rents something else that I won't want to watch
  • He has to eat his ice cream in his "Ice Cream Cup"
  • The way he makes me laugh
  • The way he sings along w/ the radio when he takes a shower
  • The way I can be completely silly and myself around him
  • That he takes Mylo out every weekday morning
  • He lets me watch my reality shows (there are lots)
  • He massages my shoulders while I'm doing the dishes (I know he should be helping, but what can I say, I Love It!)
  • He doesn't talk down about anyone
  • He is a Realist while I am a Dreamer
  • He always sits right next to me when we go out to eat
  • He washes his own work clothes (they get very dirty)
  • He WANTS me to be a Stay At Home Mom
  • He thinks my nose is cute (I, myself, don't care for it)
  • He never makes me feel bad about myself
  • He is soo patient!! (our kids will definately Love him more)
  • That he picked ME to be his Eternal Companion
Ok, this list could of went on forever but I think you get the idea. I married the Best guy in the world...Well, he is the best guy for Me :) And I am so lucky to be married to my Best Friend!!
For our anniversary we let grandma & grandpa Purser babysit Mylo (again, I apologize for his misbehaving) and Mike got us a room at the Anniversary Inn. Although all that he would tell me is that I needed to pack warm clothes because we were staying out in the Freezing Cold, come to find out our theme for our room was Arctic Adventure.

Sorry for the long post but thanks for enjoying this day with us :)

I LOVE YOU HONEY!!

To Have Meaning Again...

Ok, so I had meaning before but atleast I am officially not unemployed anymore :) Yes, it's true I got a call yesterday and was offered a job at a company called Marketstar & I don't start til the 28th so that means I get another week of "Traci Time" (I'm very excited about that). I can't really tell you much more than that because I have alot to learn before I can truly explain what I will be doing, but I was referred to this company by a recent Co-worker and he Really Likes it there and says that they have been a great company to work for so that gives me comfort. Plus it's more money, pretty much instant benefits, good vacation time and much more so I feel that I made the right decision. Thanks to all of you for your prayers!! They were truly felt :)

A Shout Out...

Well, I thought I would give a shout out to my little sister, Amber, for making my blog much cuter. I think she was blessed with more patience then me so I offered to let her take over & I think she did a good job. Thanks Amber for your help :)

Also, I just thought this was really cute so I thought I would post it. You see I have caught Mylo doing either one of two things since I've been home & not working. He is either 1- Sleeping, or 2- Waiting for dad to come home. I really do think he is looking through the window looking for "Daddy" aka Mike. I just thought it was too cute, because he never looks out the window when we are home.

This is a picture I took catching him in the act. I guess Mommy has been too boring for him & he's anxiously waiting for Daddy to come home & play.

A New Chapter in My Life...

Well, I guess it is time to fill you all in on the latest events in my life. Well my work had it's 4th string of layoffs last Wednesday and this time I was unable to dodge the bullet. So now I am unemployed for the first time in over 5 years. But I strongly believe in the saying, "When God closes a door he opens a window" (something like that) and I really think this is what is happening. I have been a little unhappy for a little bit now with my work due to all of the layoffs but I found it hard to leave because of my friends there and the bind I would have put my boss in and I have been praying for a little while now as to what I should do. Well, I was given an answer...Get a New Job!! Well, it wasn't exactly like that but at least I didn't have to make the decision myself, it was pretty much decided for me. I do have to admit that it has been kindof nice being home. I have been able to work on some projects around the house and just have some good quality "Traci Time", but don't worry I have definately been doing my share of job searching as well and I really believe that everything is going to be ok and it will work out for the better. Everything does happen for a reason :)

Wii Arm...

This past weekend we went to St. George to spend sometime w/ my family. Well, while we were there I developed "Wii Arm". Yes, I am totally addicted and I couldn't stop playing even though every move I made hurt! I am sure many of you have experienced this condition
but I have to say that I did get pretty darn good :)
Besides the "Wii Arm" incident, we had a great time in St. George. Amber and I got pedicures, while the boys went golfing (as you can tell in the pic's below Mike got a wee bit of a sunburn) then we met up with my mom to go see Dr. Seuss's "Horton Hears a Who" which is an extremely cute movie and fun for ALL ages, even if we were the only adults there without children :) Then we went out for a fun dinner for Tyson's birthday. Sunday was spent taking pictures and watching old home videos. Now that was a fun afternoon. We were reminded of just how skinny my father was until just a few years ago. How much Tyson has changed. And how many times my mom's hair dues have changed...haha! Below are some of the fun pictures we took :)
(Left Picture) We just love our cute little neice, Paige - (Right Picture) Uh...Oh!! Look who was caught eating goodies durring Sacrament

Enemies turned Best Friends...This is no Exaggeration
The Boys and the Girls (yes Mylo is included w/ the boys)
Well I hope you can tell we had a fun weekend!!! And the weather was amazing except for the fact we did have to drive home in a snow storm.
